About Us
Tucked away on Agnes Street on Detroit’s east side, we’ve come together to create a fun, inviting neighborhood joint where the locals meet up to shop, eat, drink and laugh and newcomers are always welcomed. Set in an historic pharmacy with the original apothecary cabinets as a backdrop, Metropolitan West Village is the perfect local watering hole with an outstanding beverage program that includes something for all. From craft cocktails, to unique wines and hard-to-find bourbons, to limited release beers on tap, and a good ol’ can of Stroh’s paired with a shot of whiskey, we’ve got you covered. We also have an extensive non-alcoholic beverage menu, probably the largest in the city. Our food and drinks are familiar, approachable, and just damn good. This was our vision from the start and we couldn’t be happier to be part of such an historic part of Detroit.
Metropolitan West Village is a neighborhood market with an adjoining bar and pizza kitchen. Our authentic NY style pizza has become known as one of the best in all of Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. Our menu also boasts the basics made at a high level of quality, including a variety of burgers, salads, and shareable plates. Formerly the Harlequin Cafe and then Craftwork, we carry on the tradition of great food, great cocktails, and great service.

Sharing the space is a carefully curated boutique market focused on a variety of items for your entertaining and everyday needs. An expanded offering of wine, beer, spirits, and mixers from our bar can be found in our 1800 SF market along with sandwiches made fresh daily, hot NY style pizza slices, soups, desserts, and other prepared foods. From household pantry items to a rare bottle of Blanton’s bourbon, we’ve got you covered. Our purveyor, Ashley Price, has over 17 years of buying and selling carefully selected spirits, craft beer, and eclectic wine. His knowledge and influence in the industry is unmatched and he will always find the perfect bottle for whatever fits your budget.
Nestled between all of this is an independent ice cream scoop shop. Sedo’s Premium Ice Cream is the perfect place to grab a scoop for dessert after (or before) dinner.
